Time To Vote is a research collaboration among Northeastern University’s School of Law (NuLawLab, Center for Public Interest Advocacy & Collaboration, and the Civil Rights & Restorative Justice Project), College of Social Sciences and the Humanities (Political Science Department & The Michael & Kitty Dukakis Center for Urban and Regional Policy), and Charlotte, North Carolina campus, and leading social good app developer Quadrant 2.

Our methodology will include:

(1) Deploying the custom mobile phone application "Time to Vote" in Georgia during the 2020 runoff election to measure voters’ wait times and other voting challenges,

(2) Collecting observations about polling places and voting by mail.

(3) Mapping the resulting data about wait times the day after the election in order to display any disparate geographic allocation of electoral resources.

(4) Combining our results with existing voting behavior research to assess the extent to which such allocation of electoral resources results in disenfranchisement of People of Color in our two study locations.

Results of this research will go live following the election.
